Health Disparity Research Paper
This project demonstrates an understanding of health disparities that disproportionately affect certain communities. The paper I wrote pertains to Tobacco use in the United States. Research shows that smoking rates are far more prevalent in minority groups, those below the poverty line, and those living in the Midwest region of the US.
Depression in the Elderly: Justification
This assignment is categorized as a justification for the implementation of a curriculum. More specifically, why is there a need to present information regarding depression among older adults? Within justification part B, section 3 discusses religious, cultural and ethnic beliefs that have the capacity to distort an individual's perceived susceptibility or likeliness to seek treatment.
